Kelvin Morales
Malaysia Doodle Barong
This Malaysia Doodle Barong was custom made for Dia. It is a modern take on the traditional Filipino Barong, which is a hand-embroidered shirt. This exclusive piece is unisex, and features original embroidery designs of iconic Malaysian symbols, including landmarks such as the Petronas Twin Towers and Menara Kuala Lumpur, the Hibiscus (Malaysia's national flower), Tigers and Hornbills (Malaysia's national animals), amidst many others. The Barong material is made from silk cocoons, and the motifs were created using manually hand-guided embroidery by artisans in the Philippines. It has an open spread color with button closures and a relaxed fit. Wear a bralette or swimwear beneath this exquisite sheer item, and experiment with layering it over shirts, vests, and dresses. Crafted from cocoon silk; this garment is designed to be unisex and is true to size with a relaxed fit — the female model is wearing a Size S (similar to Women's Size M), and the male model is wearing a Size L (true to size).
